When you think about GREAT players what comes to mind? First names…..right? I have a theory…Great players are known by usually first name basis. Great players possess dominance. They have what everyone calls the “IT” factor. Killer instincts…Intestinal fortitude (or guts)…Simply GREATNESS…Let’s test your ability on this one…
Magic…Mike…Larry…Worthy…Isaiah…Kareem…Kobe…Shaq…Wilt…Dr. J (just to name a few)
However, when a player is a good player, or hasn’t quite made the leap into greatness they are referred to as….
Scottie Pippen…(although he is arguably a great player)…Tracy McGrady…Dwayne Wade (remember he just had one good playoff series)…Lebron James….Steve Nash…Karl Malone…and DIRK NOWITSKI
After watching this year’s playoffs I have officially resigned from calling him Dirk…I just don’t understand how you are the lead candidate for MVP and you play that HORRIFYING. I don’t understand how you are 7 foot and being guarded by a 6 footer and you fade away. This soft 7 footer shot 13 times in a decisive game….What in the world? Where is your heart…where is your desire to win. Dirk Nowitski has to be another Peyton Manning, Charles Barkley, Karl Malone….”can’t win the big one” At least Charles and Karl had heart….at least they played with intensity and didn’t back down to no one. It took “His Airness” to knocked them out. I just hope Dirk Nowitski can one day shed this horrible reputation that was just confirmed about him. Until then he is now Dirk Nowitski to me.
I STILL CAN’T BELIEVE IT………..
