So I have been reading a lot and talking a lot for a few years concerning maximizing effectiveness. One of the best ways to maximize effectiveness in this world is to build a platform. Platforms are very useful because they position you a little higher than others and also if use wisely they will echo your words. However, there is a potential danger in that pride can easily creep upon the one on the platform (because all ears are focused on him) or danger if you have nothing useful to say to the hearers. One of the easiest ways to build a platform in today’s world is to get on the world wide web (Create a website). While its alluring and often done by some using free hosted options like wordpress.com, blogger.com, blogspot.com, etc you will set yourself a part and gain more control by creating a self hosted one (i.e. robertlwagner.com). And let’s be honest if your favorite store had a site called favoritestore.blogger.com would you really take them seriously?

However, building websites is too complicated, too time consuming and/or too expensive, right? Yes and no! This is one of the reasons why many people revert back to the free stuff. I will be working on posting some helpful things as it relates to maximizing your effectiveness, being a voice in this world, and/or building your platform.
